Geschnitten oder am Stück?

"geschnitten oder am stück?" (sliced or at a stick?). a question you often hear in a german butchery and that is the title of my work. when i enter the butchery i am challenged by this option, choice and am drawn to the products on offer. this has resulted in a range of resin brooches for exhibition. being inspired by the form and colour of sausages, but wanting to keep the resemblance simple, i focused on the variety of shapes and colour. for it is the twist that jewellery decorates the human flesh and now you see the flesh acting as jewellery.
